Meet the Team

  • Chiara (she/her)

Campaign Lead, Anti-Oppression Team, Policy and Human Rights

What is your favourite bike lane?

Humber River, Leslie Spit, Don Valley trails and anything that takes me to urban wilderness and nature!

All out 80s, and climate and social justice beats!

  • Dar (she/her)

    Logistics, Merch & Social Media

    What’s your favourite bike lane?
The Shaw bike line in every direction! It takes me everywhere I want to go—and it's especially fun with the new paving for a smooth ride.

    What’s your cycling soundtrack?
I don't listen to music while I ride, but I'm often found singing Beyoncé (badly) to create my own soundtrack.

  • Lis (she/her/elle)

    Anti-Oppression Team

    What's your favourite bike lane

    Shaw street :)

What's your go-to/favourite soundtrack for commuting?

I enjoy listening to the chirping of birds, the gentle rush of wind against my ears, to the other sounds found in the city and nature :)

  • Rachel (she/her)

    Executive Director

    What’s your favourite bike lane?
Bloor/Danforth bike lane during rush hour, smiling at all the drivers as I pass by

    What's your cycling soundtrack?
    Any DJ mixes by musicbwoy

  • Nathalie (she/her)

    Logistics Team, Communications

    What's your favourite bike lane?

Bloor/Danforth. It’s not a (clears throat) relaxing ride with all the video-game obstacles but I can catch it at the end of my street and have a straight, flat ride clear across the city.

What's a tip that you have for Bike Brigade riders?

Never assume they see you! Even if you have the right of way, better to be safe.

  • Cecily (she/her)

Board Member, Campaign Lead, Logistics & Policy

    What’s your favourite bike lane?
    Shaw southbound—so smooth and shady.

What’s a tip for Bike Brigade riders?
Bright lights and loud bells! Do everything you can to make sure you're as seen and heard as possible!

  • Chad (he/him)

    Campaign Lead, Logistics & Technology

    What’s your favourite bike lane?

Toss up between the Humber River and Martin Goodman Trails. Frankly, any trail.

What’s a tip for Bike Brigade riders?

Claim your space on the road. Cyclists have the same right to the street as motorists.

  • Dave (he/him)

    Founder, Board Member

    What's your cycling soundtrack?
    Anything Frank Ocean

What’s a tip for Bike Brigade riders?
When wearing a mask, smile with your eyes.

  • Jenna (she/her)

    Logistics & Technology

    What's your favourite bike lane?
That little stretch of Shaw accessible only to bikes! Though the new Bayview lanes are pretty great too – feels like a bicycle highway!

What's a tip for Bike Brigade riders?
I use panniers, so if the delivery is in a box I usually take the contents out and pack them directly in my bags. I like to fold the box up and bring it with me so I can pack it up nicely for the drop-off!

  • Max (he/him)

    Founding Engineer, Tech Team

    What's your favourite bike lane?
Brock—it's the Shaw of the West.

What's a tip for Bike Brigade riders?

The lemonade from Emmet Ray is a great energy boost before a summer Foodshare ride, but a little too sweet for my taste. I like to ask for it to be cut with soda.

  • Jon (he/him)

    Campaign Lead & Logistics

    What's your favourite bike lane?
Shaw Street if I'm commuting, ActiveTO Lakeshore if I'm just having fun.

    What's your cycling soundtrack?
Anything I can sing-along to in the summer, audiobooks in winter.

  • Julia (she/her)

    Logistics Team, Campaign Lead

    What's your favourite bike lane?

You can bike up the Humber all the way to Finch. There's a wonderful community group, Humber River Pals, doing community park clean-ups along Humber between Bloor and Lawrence.

What's a tip that you have for Bike Brigade riders?

Check Facebook Marketplace for used panniers!

  • Kerri (she/her)

    Campaign Lead, Logistics & Researcher

    What's your favourite bike lane?
    The Martin Goodman Trail!

What's a tip for Bike Brigade riders?
Take that delivery selfie! Pics help us promote partners and recruit new riders and are a feel-good way to cap off a ride! Whether you're sweaty or soaked or snowy - everyone looks stunning with that Brigade delivery glow!
